ARTHUR MOATS
Outside Linebacker
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The list of Steelers regulars who didn't play in the preseason finale tonight against the Panthers is a long one. Arthur Moats wasn't on that list, but he did make the most of what playing time he got in Carolina's 18-6 victory at Bank of America Stadium.
Moats was in on only two tackles, including one for loss, and he also contributed 1.5 sacks. both of the sacks came on third downs with the Panthers offense in the red zone, and the sacks forced field goals instead of allowing the possession to continue working toward getting the ball into the end zone.
Arthur Moats is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.
Also considered were Daryl Richardson, who had 45 yards rushing on nine carries, including a 1-yard touchdown, to go along with two catches for 13 yards; L.J. Fort, who had 10 tackles; Jordan Dangerfield, who had 10 tackles; Sean Davis, who had four tackles on defense and two more on special teams; Artie Burns, who had four tackles and two passes defensed at the goal line on separate possessions; and Anthony Chickillo, who had seven tackles, a sack, and two quarterback pressures.
