HEATH MILLER** Tight End
There was not much from which to choose when it came to identifying individual highlights for the Steelers in their decisive loss to the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. In a game where Coach Mike Tomlin said he was looking for the team's three units to work together in a winning performance, in fact the opposite turned out to be the case.
Heath Miller ended up being the Steelers' leading receiver through the first three quarters when the regulars were on the field, and he finished with five catches for 53 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown.
Miller is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.
Also considered were Troy Polamalu, whose interception was the Steelers' only takeaway; Darrius Heyward-Bey, who caught a 33-yard touchdown pass midway through the fourth quarter; and Bruce Gradkowski, who came on to engineer that five-play, 79-yard touchdown drive and cap it with that throw to Heyward-Bey.
Gradkowski completed 8-of-11 for 105 yards and two touchdowns in mop-up duty, but it represented his most productive stint in game action this preseason. Heyward-Bey finished with three catches for 54 yards as he continues to fight for a spot on the 53-man roster at wide receiver.
