TAMPA, Fla. – Looking for their first win of the season, the Steelers figured to need a big night from their offense, which automatically means they were going to need a big night from their quarterback.
And Ben Roethlisberger delivered. He completed 30-of-38 for 353 yards, with three touchdowns, one interception, and a rating of 120.7. Roethlisberger also ran one quarterback sneak for 2 yards and another first down in the Steelers 30-27 win over Tampa Bay. Roethlisberger is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.
Also considered was Bud Dupree, who finished with three tackles, one sack, three pressures, and an interception he returned 10 yards for a touchdown; JuJu Smith-Schuster, who caught nine passes for 116 yards; Joe Haden, who had three tackles and three passes defensed; Vance McDonald, who caught four passes for 112 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown; Jon Bostic, who had six tackles, including two for loss, one sack, and two passes defensed; Mike Hilton, who had five tackles, one interception, and one fumble recovery; James Conner, who carried 15 times for 61 yards and added another 34 yards receiving on five catches; and Antonio Brown, who caught six passes for 50 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown.
