Semana 4 de la temporada regular, el equipo tiene marca de 1-2 hasta el momento y el próximo domingo reciben a los New York Jets (1-2). Si hacemos memoria el equipo inició lento la temporada pasada pero logró recomponer el camino y llegar hasta los playoffs, el domingo puede llegar la segunda victoria de la campaña, hablemos un poquito más del juego.
Una de las claves más importantes para ganar partidos en la NFL es el mantener series ofensivas largas, dominantes, que desgasten a la defensivas rivales y mantienen a nuestra defensiva fresca para cuando sea necesario. El equipo tiene un promedio de posesión de balón de 24:10 minutos en 2022, el único equipo de la NFL con menos de 25 minutos en promedio a la ofensiva.
"El ritmo lo tenemos todas las semanas, no se trata de tenerlo o no, se trata de utilizarlo a nuestro favor", comentó Mike Tomlin ante los medios.
No hay mucho más secreto, tenemos que evitar los tres y fuera, tener más jugadas de impacto. Mitch Trubisky habló ante los medios y comentó "las jugadas estaban ahí, lo vimos en el video, es nuestra responsabilidad ejecutarlas, estar concentrados y comunicarnos mejor".
Sobre el partido del próximo domingo, Coach Tomlin habló en su conferencia de prensa semanal y dijo que Mitch Trubisky ha mejorado en todos los aspectos, en sus lecturas, en su ejecución y en la toma de decisiones, destacó su movilidad y la versatilidad para adaptarse a circunstancias adversas.
Sobre el posible regreso de Zach Wilson como QB de los Jets, nuestro head coach comentó "el hecho que no estemos familiarizados con él es algo a lo que le tenemos que prestar atención, no hemos jugado contra él, tenemos que minimizar sus opciones y virtudes, hay más preguntas que respuestas pero ellos pueden decir lo mismo de nosotros."
El aspecto a cuidar de los Jets es el cuerpo de receptores, el equipo neoyorquino tiene a 6 diferentes jugadores con 10+ recepciones en 2022, siendo líderes en esta categoría en toda la NFL. También habrá que echarle ojo a Breece Hall, el corredor novato de los Jets que tiene 213 yardas de scrimmage, la mayor cantidad dentro del equipo en esta temporada.
Nos espera un juego apretado en el que seguramente, el pronóstico son pocos puntos pero en esta liga no se puede predecir nada. ¡Que se haga sentir el Acrisure Stadium el domingo!
