Se terminó la semana de descanso y los Pittsburgh Steelers regresan a la acción este domingo contra los Washington Commanders en un partido en el que se enfrentan ambos equipos como líderes de su respectiva división y que promete ser un duelazo. Vamos a platicar más del tema.
Los Commanders han ganado siete de sus últimos ocho partidos y los Steelers vienen de 3 victorias consecutivas, dos de ellas ya con Russell Wilson en los controles de la ofensiva.
Sin duda será un partido increíble porque se enfrentará la ofensiva número dos en puntos anotados (Washington) contra la defensiva número 2 en puntos permitidos en promedio por partidos (Pittsburgh).
Los matchups estarán espectaculares, será interesante ver como frenan a Jayden Daniels, quarterback de los Commanders y quién pinta para ser el novato ofensivo del año sin duda alguna. Daniels ha traído vitalidad y constancia a esta ofensiva y tendrá su reto más complicado en su carrera profesional, por lo menos hasta este momento, cuando se enfrente a nuestra unidad defensiva.
"No importa el video que veas, terceras oportunidades, zona roja, su ejecución y su movilidad son su mejor factor, ya sea por diseño o por extender la jugada. Es algo que debemos tomar en cuenta, es uno de los mayores factores por los que son un grupo peligroso" fueron las palabras de Mike Tomlin en conferencia de prensa.
Particularmente hay que estar atentos al duelo entre Terry McLaurin y Joey Porter Jr. y otro que me llama mucho la atención es el de Brandon Coleman, tackle ofensivo novato que ha tenido una gran temporada con Washington contra T.J. Watt y el pass rush de los Steelers.
Sobre las dos nuevas incorporaciones de los Steelers, Mike Williams y Preston Smith, todavía no se sabe si tendrán participación o no durante el siguiente partido, depende de su habilidad de adaptación y entendimiento del sistema.
Mike Williams, receptor, será una buena adición para la unidad y le dará profundidad a la posición, algo que definitivamente era necesario. Sobre Preston Smith, por ahí dicen que "nunca es suficiente pass rush en un equipo" y él vendrá a sumar.
