The Pittsburgh Steelers will be hosting a Youth Football Camp next month in Mexico City, Mexico, the team announced today.
The one-day Youth Football Camp will take place on Saturday, June 12, in Mexico City at the Tecnologico de Monterrey, Santa Fe Campus. The camp will include kids ages 7-17 and will introduce the kids to a number of individual drills needed to participate in the game of football.
"Steelers fans in Mexico are very enthusiastic and loyal, and we are excited for the opportunity to reach out to the youth there by having a Youth Football Camp in Mexico City," Steelers' president Art Rooney II said. "I know that our players who are attending are looking forward to the camp to help teach the kids the game of football."
The kids will learn the finer points of passing, receiving, blocking, punting, long snapping and defensive techniques from several current Steelers, including Ziggy Hood and Daniel Sepulveda, whose families have Mexican backgrounds.
