La Temporada 2020
El cuerpo de TE de los Steelers tuvo un buen año, aportando 71 recepciones para 657 yardas y 5 anotaciones. El arma principal fue Ebron, con 558 yardas y cinco anotaciones en temporada regular, aunque también dejó caer varios pases (aunque no fue el único en el equipo). Vance McDonald fue utilizado más en situaciones de protección o como apoyo a la línea ofensiva y en el año terminó con 15 recepciones y 99 yardas. Esos fueron los únicos dos TE que registraron estadísticas para el equipo en 2020.
¿Cuál es el plan para 2021?
El titular sólido es Ebron. El problema para los Steelers es que fuera de él no hay nadie más con experiencia en este departamento. Zach Gentry, pick de quinta ronda en 2019, tuvo un juego como titular, pero sólo tuvo 20 jugadas a la ofensiva en todo en año y este momento luce más como una promesa que como un jugador que pueda aportar en 2021. Lo mismo podemos decir de Rader, Jones y Raymond. El equipo necesita evaluar si alguno de estos jugadores luce como un plan B viable en caso de alguna lesión/baja de juego de Ebron o decidirán invertir en el Draft/Agencia Libre por algún jugador para ser el TE suplente.
