On a team that is riddled with injuries, the Steelers got some good news today when Roosevelt Nix and Ryan Switzer were both placed on the Reserve/Injured; Designated For Return List.
Both players are now eligible to practice with the team on Thursday as the Steelers prepare for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium, but neither player is eligible to play for two weeks, which would be after Wild Card weekend if the Steelers make the postseason and advance.
Nix was injured in the season opener against the Patriots, missing the next five games. He played against the Dolphins and Colts, but was injured again and missed the Rams game and placed on injured reserve that following week. Switzer suffered a back injury against the Rams, leaving the game early and was placed on injured reserve at the same time as Nix.
