Primer partido en casa de la temporada para nuestros Steelers y por desgracia no pudimos salir con la segunda victoria de la campaña. El marcador final fue 17 - 14 a favor de los New England Patriots.
Me gustó la manera en la que se intentó establecer el juego terrestre en la primera mitad. Najee tuvo mucha acción en la primera mitad, pero aunque no se reflejaba en el marcador por lo menos mantenía a la ofensiva dentro del terreno de juego.
No fue un partido de muchos puntos, no voy a quejarme de la defensiva, creo que hicieron una buena labor, pero sin duda se extrañó muchísimo a T.J. Watt. Pittsburgh no registró ni una sola captura a Mac Jones y le permitieron lanzar más de 250 yardas.
Creo que en un partido así de cerrado la diferencia se marca en cuál de los dos equipos tiene un chispazo o una jugada grande en el momento indicado y en ese departamento fuimos superados por los Patriots.
"Puedo ser mejor, tuvimos un par de oportunidades falladas, en las que no estábamos en la mis hoja, y necesitamos anotar más puntos. Fuímos un poco mejores en terceras oportunidades, por lo menos en la primera mitad. Hay mucho por mejorar y debemos hacerlo rápido." Esto fue lo que comentó Mitch Trubisky ante los medios después del partido.
Trubisky lanzó 21-33, 168yds, 1 TD, 1 INT.
Sobre la línea ofensiva, creo que se mejoró respecto a lo que vimos la semana pasada a pesar de las 3 capturas, de las cuáles Trubisky se hizo responsable de 2.
En conferencia de prensa tras el partido, Coach Tomlin habló sobre la importancia de los equipos especiales, las muy buenas patadas de despeje que tuvo Nueva Inglaterra y el balón perdido al final del partido en el despeje que nos costó 7 puntos en el marcador.
Nuestro head coach también comentó que hay muchas cosas por mejorar y habrá que hacerlo en tiempo limitado porque es semana corta por el partido del próximo jueves contra los Cleveland Browns.
