La semana 4 de la temporada regular de la NFL llegó con una derrota para los Pittsburgh Steelers quienes cayeron 30 - 6 ante los Texans. La derrota llega tras otro partido bastante inconsistente de la ofensiva y la incapacidad que tuvo la defensiva de detener la carrera.
"No fue un buen día en la oficina para nosotros hoy, no hicimos las cosas que nos hubiera gustado hacer y no detuvimos las acciones que ellos deseaban realizar. Ellos corrieron el balón con mucha consistencia sobre nosotros, debemos ser mucho mejores contra el juego terrestre, no vamos a lograr lo que queremos a la defensiva si no detenemos la carrera y eso no lo logramos hoy", fue lo primero que dijo Mike Tomlin en la conferencia de prensa después del partido.
En la primera mitad del partido solamente la primera serie ofensiva del equipo duró más de 2 minutos y terminó en intercepción, hubo dos series de tres y fuera y otra de cinco jugadas que terminó en despeje, ya en la segunda mitad la ofensiva se vio con un poco más de ritmo pero en las dos visitas a la zona roja que tuvimos durante todo el partido solamente pudimos salir con dos goles de campo de Boswell.
Coach Tomlin también comentó que nos tomó mucho tiempo establecer el juego terrestre. En los primeros dos cuartos del partido solamente sumamos 23 yardas por aire y 30 por tierra.
Shoutout a Najee Harris que sumó 103 yardas totales de las 194 que registró toda la ofensiva de Pittsburgh.
Cabe mencionar que no solamente se sufrió para detener la carrera, ya que C.J. Stroud lanzó para más de 300 yardas y dos touchdowns.
Las lesiones también estuvieron presentes en el partido, Pat Freiermuth tiene una lesión en el muslo, y Kenny Pickett no logró terminar el partido por una lesión en la rodilla, de la cual no sabemos su estatus todavía.
El próximo partido será contra los Baltimore Ravens en duelo divisional el domingo 8 de octubre a las 11 am hora del centro de México.
