Una dominante actuación de la defensiva terrestre
Sin duda la estrella de la noche fue el espectacular trabajo que hizo el front 7 de los Steelers en contra de Saquon Barkley y el ataque terrestre de los Giants. Los números son contundentes, 29 yardas totales por tierra y Barkley limitado a 6 yardas en 15 acarreos. Esta defensa obligó a los Giants a ser unidimensionales y borró al mejor jugador de los Giants, al menos vía terrestre.
3 pases de TD de Big Ben
Sin duda se notó el regreso de Ben Roethlisberger al frente de la ofensiva de los Steelers. A pesar de un inicio lento, Big Ben lanzó 3 pases de anotación y ayudó a la ofensiva a convertir más de la mitad de las conversiones de tercera oportunidad. El ataque de Pittsburgh lució por momentos como el de antes.
Juju está de regreso
Si alguien agradeció el regreso de Roethlisberger fue Juju Smith-Schuster, quien tuvo un partido muy bueno. 6 recepciones, 69 yardas y dos anotaciones. Además recuperó un balón suelto clave y por lo menos esta noche, el ex-receptor de USC nos ha demostrado que es la principal arma de la ofensiva aérea.
¿Es momento de hacer un cambio en la posición de corredor?
A pesar de la lesión, es evidente que cuando James Conner está en el terreno de juego la ofensiva terrestre de los Steelers es muy predecible. Conner promedió 1.5 yardas por acarreo en seis intentos y Benny Snell 5.9, logrando más de 100 yardas. Es una pena que el corredor de la universidad de Pittsburgh no ha logrado mantenerse sano. Creo que el ataque terrestre de los Steelers pudiera estar mejor con Snell.
¿Qué se puede mejorar?
La defensiva aérea, sobre todo del lado de Steven Nelson.
Los Giants lograron generar daño cuando buscaron al receptor Darius Slayton. Primero tuvo un latigazo de TD de 41 yardas en el segundo cuarto y también anotó en el último cuarto. En total logró 102 yardas y dos anotaciones, la mayor parte en contra de Steven Nelson.

La intercepción de Cam Heyward
Sin duda esa fue la jugada que cambió el rumbo del encuentro. New York había construido una dominante serie ofensiva de 19 jugadas y estaba a punto de anotar. Sin embargo la defensiva logró presionar a Daniel Jones y obligar un mal pase que terminó en las manos de Cam Heyward dentro de la zona de anotación. Los Steelers anotaron un FG que puso el juego a dos anotaciones de distancia.

También es muy válido poner a alguien de la defensiva. Pero el regreso de Big Ben fue un cambio brutal en la ofensiva. Además lanzó tres pases de anotación y no tuvo entregas de balón.c
Conclusiones
Los Steelers cumplieron en contra de un rival que en el papel (y la realidad) era inferior. A pesar de un inicio lento, la defensiva sigue siendo el pilar de este equipo y el regreso de Big Ben trae estabilidad a la ofensiva. Será interesante ver lo que pueda lograr este equipo en el debut en el Heinz Field contra los Broncos.
