Cornerback Mike Hilton signed his one-year exclusive rights tender.
"I signed my exclusive rights," said Hilton. "I wanted to show the team I am here."
Hilton, who is entering his third season, finished the 2018 season with 55 tackles and a sack. Hilton joined the team as a free agent in the 2017 offseason, and quickly made an impact his first year when he had 61 tackles and four sacks.
Hilton said there have been talks about a long term deal, but he didn't have any specifics yet.
"I am trying to show all of the sides I want to be here long term," said Hilton. "I am focused on being here and helping this team win. Hopefully it will all work out in the end. This is a team that gave me a true shot since coming in undrafted. I feel like my last two years I have been producing well. I just want to be around and keep playing."
"I have to go out and play ball. This is when we get our chemistry going and get ready for the season. I am going to go out and do my part."
Hilton was happy to learn that his coach, Mike Tomlin, did get a contract extension before the start of camp.
"I was excited," said Hilton. "Having a guy like Coach T for another year is a great thing. He is a guy who gets us going every Sunday.
"He is a players coach. He is really in tune with his guys. He loves talking to us, not just about football, about anything. He shows the enthusiasm and energy."
