The Pro Football Writers of America announced their annual All-Rookie team today, and Steelers center Zach Frazier was selected to it.
Frazier was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the 51st overall pick, out of West Virginia.
He was voted the winner of the Joe Greene Great Performance Award, presented to the team's top rookie by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America.
Frazier stepped in as the team's starter in Week 1, and started all 15 games he appeared in, missing two due to injury. He also started the Steelers Wild Card game.
"I feel like my rookie year flew by," said Frazier. "I feel like we were just in Latrobe and now the season is over, and I am moving on to Year 2.
"I learned a lot, making the jump from college to the NFL, was the biggest thing."
From the day he was drafted, Frazier understood the legacy of the Steelers offensive line and what the center position means to the organization.
"I just know how much offensive line means to the Pittsburgh Steelers, their long tradition of having great o-linemen and great offensive lines," said Frazier. "It's special.
"They're getting a hard worker who is going to give everything he has to the organization to win football games."
