Semana 8 de la temporada regular de la NFL, los Pittsburgh Steelers tienen marca de 4-2 y les toca recibir a los Jacksonville Jaguars en el Acrisure Stadium, en lo que pinta para ser un juegazo este próximo domingo.
Los Steelers vienen de una increíble victoria contra los Rams en Los Angeles y los Jaguars llegarán a Pittsburgh tras una victoria apretada contra los Saints el pasado jueves por la noche.
El domingo será una buena prueba, empezando de nuestro lado ofensivo del balón, en el que tendremos que manejar a dos jugadores como Travon Walker y Josh Allen, "por lo regular presentan un frente 3-4 pero sus linebackers externos son enormes parecería un 4-3 disfrazado, son muy buenos cerrando lo carriles de los corredores", comentó Coach Tomlin en conferencia de prensa sobre nuestro próximo rival.
Josh Allen lidera la NFL con 43 QB pressures en el 2023 y registra 7 sacks en el año. Los Jaguars son el equipo que más intercambios de balones ha provocado en la temporada con 16, los Steelers no se quedan atrás con 12 intercambios forzados. Todo apunta a que el siguiente domingo veremos un duelo altamente dominado por las defensivas.
El juego terrestre de los Steelers tuvo su mejor participación en la segunda mitad del partido ante los Rams y será clave verlos con ritmo ante esta defensiva para poder prolongar las series ofensivas y mantener a la defensiva lo más fresca posible a través del partido.
El juego aéreo se vio mucho mejor con la reincorporación de Diontae Johnson la semana pasada, entre él y George Pickens tenemos dos playmakers extraordinarios que pueden marcar diferencia en un juego apretado. Hablando de juegos apretados, los Steelers están 4-0 en partidos en partidos que se definen por menos de una posesión en 2023.
Nuestra defensiva tendrá buenos retos ante los Jaguars, especialmente Travis Etienne Jr. quién ha corrido para +500 yardas esta temporada y ha anotado en 7 ocasiones. Pero no es el único, Christian Kirk, Calvin Ridley, Evan Engram y el mismo Trevor Lawrence son oponentes con los que debes jugar lo más cercano a la perfección o nos podemos meter en problemas.
