Llegó la última semana de la temporada regular de la NFL. Los Pittsburgh Steelers cierran la temporada regular visitando a los Baltimore Ravens en un duelo divisional en el que nuestro equipo está jugando su clasificación a playoffs.
Los escenarios son los siguientes:
- Los Steelers necesitan ganar este partido y que los Jaguars o Bills pierdan su partido correspondiente.
- Si los Steelers pierden, todavía existe una ligera posibilidad de que pasen a playoffs, tendría que perder Jaguars, ganar los Broncos y que los Texans y Colts no empaten.
Esta semana Coach Tomlin confirmó a Mason Rudolph como el quarterback titular de los Steelers para enfrentar a los Ravens. "Creo que la disponibilidad de Kenny está más clara en este momento, les adelanto que lo verán practicar. Dicho esto, vamos a dejarle el balón a Mason Rudolph, ha hecho un gran trabajo en el último par de semanas y nosotros también. Hemos cuidado el balón y él también. Hemos anotado puntos como en ninguna otra semana esta temporada, él será el titular." comentó nuestro head coach.
Los Steelers llegan a este partido divisional con dos victorias al hilo y con un buen ritmo de juego, especialmente en la ofensiva. En el primer enfrentamiento contra Baltimore de la temporada salís victoriosos 17-10, en un partido donde la defensiva jugó a un gran nivel y George Pickens brilló con una actuación de 130 yardas y 1 Touchdown.
Los Ravens llegan como el sembrado número 1 de la Conferencia Americana y aunque todavía no sabemos si descansan a algunos titulares para este partido, el enfoque se mantiene igual, serán un rival complicado, defensivas poderosas y juego de poder a poder, futbol americano de la AFC Norte, diría Coach Tomlin.
Será interesante ver si es sostenible el gran nivel que vimos de Najee Harris y Jaylen Warren la semana pasada. Fue evidente que la ayuda del juego terrestre fue clave para el desempeño óptimo de toda la unidad ofensiva, todo esto gracias al tremendo trabajo de la línea.
