The Steelers didn't practice on Monday, after defeating the Baltimore Ravens, 18-16, at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.
But with a Thursday night game, the team is still required to issue an estimated practice/injury report today ahead of the Week 12 game against the Browns.
Coach Mike Tomlin didn't have many updates on the injury front less than 24 hours removed from the Ravens game. He said he hadn't gotten an update yet on linebacker Alex Highsmith, but if he had to provide an answer today it's 'likely' he wouldn't play on Thursday night. Highsmith was listed as did not practice on the estimate.
"I hadn't checked in on Alex Highsmith in terms of seeing what his availability might look like," said Tomlin. "If you press me, I'd probably say he's more out than in, but we'll see where a short week leads us."
Nose tackle Keeanu Benton suffered what Tomlin referred to after the game as a shin contusion against the Ravens on Sunday, fared better than expected after being injured.
"I like the trajectory of some others," said Tomlin. "(Keenau) Benton went down in game, but that appears to be a non-issue from yesterday. All the guys had sustained something in game doesn't appear to be an issue moving forward. So that's exciting.
"We opened the window for Cory Trice last week and he had a good week's work and may be available to us. We'll see where that leads us as well."
