Steelers Nation Unite

Steelers Nation is ready to show their support

There is no doubt Steelers fans are passionate about their team, and there is equally no doubt they love to share that passion on their social media accounts.

And there is no better time than the present to do so.

On Sunday, Sept. 1, Steelers Nation will be showing off their black and gold pride unlike any other fan base does.

For years, Steelers fans from around the world have simultaneously celebrated and displayed their love of the Steelers on the Sunday prior to the start of the season.

It's a tradition that first started in Mexico, and Steelers "World Photo Day" has spread around the world. There are already 11 countries and 56 locations committed to participate this year, including the United States, Mexico, Argentina, the U.K., Ireland, Germany, and more.

"World Photo Day has grown into an annual Steelers tradition," said Dan Rooney, Steelers Director of Business Development & Strategy. "Each year, it's exciting to see Steelers Nation put their Black & Gold on full display all around the world. We look forward to seeing it grow even more this year."

This Sunday provides Steelers Nation around the globe the perfect opportunity to put on their black and gold and show their support for the Steelers ahead of the team's season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.

How do you get involved? It's simple and totally up to each fan. You can gather in large groups with friends or family, at a local landmark, in your fan cave, or even with a flag from your country if you would like. Wherever and how you want to show your love for the team works as there is no wrong way.

The key is, take a picture on Sunday, Sept. 1, then share it on social media using the hashtag #SteelersWorldWide.

You can share your photos on the Steelers Fans Foto Official Facebook page or on other forms of social media. Make sure to use the hashtag #SteelersWorldWide.

This Sunday, let's show the world the power of Steelers Nation.

The annual event was developed by Sergio Carrasco and Guillermo Vargas, two Steelers fans who live in Mexico, an area where the Steelers have a long-standing relationship because of the huge fanbase. Their official accounts are listed here:
