The Steelers signed running back Aaron Shampklin to the practice squad.
Shampklin was with the team throughout the offseason and through the preseason, and then signed to the practice squad. He spent time this season on the practice squad and the 53-man roster.
Shampklin originally joined the Steelers when he signed a Reserve/Future contract at the end of the 2023 season. Prior to that he spent time with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023, and also spent part of the 2022 season with the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys.
He played at Harvard where he was a two-time All-Ivy League selection, leading the league with a 92.8-yard rushing average per game in 2021. He finished his career with 402 carries for 2,251 yards and 23 touchdowns.
