The Steelers go into today's game against the Baltimore Ravens, a huge AFC North battle at M&T Bank Stadium, without safety Jordan Dangerfield, cornerback Mike Hilton and linebacker Ulysees Gilbert. Dangerfield and Gilbert were ruled out on Friday after suffering injuries against the Tennessee Titans last week, while Hilton was questionable, but is now missing his second straight game.
With Devin Bush already out for the season, Gilbert was providing reps at inside linebacker, where Robert Spillane will start for the second week in a row.
Among those who will be active today are running back Trey Edmunds, who was elevated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster on Saturday, while defensive lineman Chris Wormley was placed on the reserve/injured list. In addition, linebacker Jayrone Elliott and safety Antoine Brooks Jr. are both active. Both players were elevated from the practice squad to the active/inactive roster for the game. Elliott and Brooks will revert back to the practice squad after the game without having to pass through waivers. Elliott was active last week against the Titans, while this is the first game Brooks will dress for this season.
Fullback Derek Watt, who was also listed as questionable, will be active.
The rest of the inactives include quarterback Joshua Dobbs, defensive tackle Carlos Davis, offensive tackle Derwin Gray, and tight end Zach Gentry.
