Steelers inactives for Week 3 vs Texans

The Steelers are headed into today's game as healthy a team as they have been in the young season, and that is reflective in the team's inactives.

David DeCastro, who has made the inactive list the last two weeks, isn't anywhere to be found on it.

Today's inactives for the Texans game include quarterback Joshua Dobbs, linebacker Ulysees Gilbert, defensive tackle Carlos Davis, offensive tackle Derwin Gray and tight end Zach Gentry.

While Kevin Dotson held down the fort last week against the Denver Broncos, having DeCastro back can do nothing but help the offense.

"He has been practicing," said offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner. "I know from a communication standpoint, his personality, how hard he has worked to put himself in position to get back, it would be awesome. Nothing against young (Kevin) Dotson last week. I thought he played well for his first opportunity to play. But you are talking about an All-Pro type player. So, yes, I have a smile on my face."

Fichtner has a smile on his face, it definitely adds to the challenges for the Texans.

"Obviously he's coming back from an injury. They've been dealing with some injuries all across the line for a bit, but they're the Pittsburgh Steelers," said Texans defensive end J.J. Watt. "What they're known for is being a tough, physical team. That's who they are, that's what their city is, that's what they're known for. That's what these guys continue to do, and they hold up that legacy and that's who we're expecting when we walk in Heinz Field."
