LATROBE, Pa. - Check out some of the latest comments from Steelers players at training camp, from Maurkice Pouncey, Ike Taylor, and more.
Rookie Shaquille Richardson on who has been helping him:
"A lot of people have been working with me. I ask questions to all of the players. It helps a lot. These guys have been through everything. There is so much stuff I learn every day.
You pick up something every day. I try to help whenever someone asks me a question. I might not know as much as the older guys, but I try to help. We have a close group and you need that to be successful."
Center Maurkice Pouncey on the intensity in practice:
"It builds a team. You are going to fight out there with your brothers and you show one another you have each other's back. Practice is going to be ebb and flow, things are going to go right; things are going to go wrong. It's all about team building.
Cornerback Ike Taylor on qualifications it takes to be a Steelers' player:
"Running and hitting. Regardless of offense or defense, running and hitting. If you lose one, bounce back and try to win the other one. If you keep losing, as long as we see you fighting that is all that really matters."
Rookie Dri Archer on his preparation:
"I am trying to stay with the coaches, study film and learn the playbook. I am trying to stay ahead of the game and learn as much as I can."
