Last Meeting: The Steelers lost the turnover battle, 5-2, and the game, 17-10, when the Bills visited Heinz Field on Dec. 15, 2019. QB Devlin Hodges was intercepted four times, including on fourth-and-7 from the Bills' 23-yard line with two minutes left in the fourth quarter, and on second-and-18 from the Buffalo 34 with 15 seconds left in regulation. Bills QB Josh Allen completed 13 of 25 passes for 139 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Allen also rushed seven times for 28 yards and a touchdown. The loss started what turned out to be a three-game losing streak that knocked the Steelers from 8-5 to 8-8 and out of the playoffs.

Last Season: The Bills went 10-6 and finished second in the AFC East. Buffalo ranked 24th in total offense (eighth rushing, 26th passing) and third in total defense (10th rushing, fourth passing). The Bills lost an AFC Wild Card game to the Texans in Houston, 22-19, in overtime.
Since Then: Buffalo acquired WR Stefon Diggs and a fourth-round pick from Minnesota for four selections, including the 22nd overall pick last April. The haul in unrestricted free agency included the additions of three former Panthers (DE Mario Addison, DT Vernon Butler and OT Daryl Williams), as well as CB Josh Norman (Redskins) and DT Quinton Jefferson (Seahawks). DE Shaq Lawson (Dolphins) and DT Jordan Phillips (Cardinals) departed (both had 13 tackles for a loss and the pair combined for 16 sacks in 2019). The Bills invested their first selection in the draft in Iowa DE A.J. Epenesa (second round, 54th overall) and landed Utah RB Zack Moss on the third round (86th overall).

Headliners: Allen started all 16 regular-season games and threw for 3,089 yards, with 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also rushed for 510 yards and nine TDs, and has 17 rushing touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons. Diggs is coming off consecutive 1,000-yards receiving seasons and averaged 17.9 yards per catch in 2019 (second in the NFL among players with at least 59 receptions). RB Devin Singletary (third round, 74th overall) gradually took over for Frank Gore as the feature back and finished with 775 yards and a 5.1-yard average per carry as a rookie. MLB Tremaine Edmunds led the Bills with 115 tackles and is a 6-foot-5, 250-pound presence in the middle of the defense.
Stat That Matters: The Bills' 10-win season in 2019 was their first in 20 years since an 11-5 showing in 1999.
Memorable Meeting: RB Franco Harris carried 24 times for 74 yards and three touchdowns and the Steelers began a march to what would be the first Super Bowl championship in franchise history with a 32-14 victory over the Bills in an AFC Divisional Round game on Dec. 22, 1974 at Three Rivers Stadium. RB Rocky Bleier had 45 yards rushing on 14 carries and 54 yards receiving on three catches. Bills RB O.J. Simpson was limited to 49 yards on 15 carries. The Steelers trailed, 7-3, after the opening 15 minutes but took command by outscoring the Bills, 26-0, in the second quarter.
