HR 2: Fireside Friday - Week 6

An in depth preview of this Sunday's slate of NFL action, highlighting the biggest surprises both good and bad this season so far, and Tom and Jacob share who they got for the Triple Play and they pick a winner for Steelers/Raiders

Yesterday Mike Tomlin took to the podium to announce that Russell Wilson will spend the week taking reps with the first teamers which could indicate that Russ will get his first of the season. The Jets traded for Davante Adams and the Bills traded for Amari Cooper to get some much needed wide receiver help.

We're one third of the way through the season so it's just as good a time as ever to determine if certain teams are dead or alive, and Tom and Jacob rank their top ten teams heading into the seventh week of the season.

The Steelers put up 30 points on offense and Najee Harris ran for over 100 yards both for the first time all season, the defense forced three turnovers, and the special teams got a blocked punt in an overall dominating win against the Raiders. Russell Wilson was finally given RB2 designation instead of the emergency third, does that mean he will finally start a game next week against the Jets.

The offensive line has been all banged up and suffered another big scare when Zach Frazier went down and is now considered week-to-week. In Week 6 we saw the Bengals barely beat the Giants, the Browns fell to 1-5, and the Lions trolled the Cowboys in a blowout victory.

The Steelers need to be desperate for a win at the Raiders this Sunday after dropping each of their last two games. A lack of explosiveness on offense and the depleted depth at outside linebacker on defense are the two biggest concerns that could result in a third straight loss. Tom and Jacob make their predictions for who steps up in Vegas as a Big Ballah.

Russell Wilson will be active in his first Wednesday practice of the season, but is it a guarantee that he will get the start over Justin Fields and will it even be the right decision to make the change. Patrick Queen has been arguably the biggest disappointment so far this season for the Steelers defense.

It's never too early to start looking at playoff positions so Tom and Jacob play a round of Fake It or Make It to determine if the 14 teams currently in a playoff spot will hold on to that position by season's end, and Tom and Jacob rank their top ten teams heading into the sixth week of the season.
