The Pittsburgh Steelers, in collaboration with Commonwealth Press, are releasing 8 game day posters, one for each home game during the 2022 season. Local artists sourced by Commonwealth Press will design each poster to commemorate the individual game. A limited number of posters will be available for purchase on game day at the Steelers Pro Shop.

All gameday poster proceeds will benefit Artists Image Resource located in Pittsburgh.

ABOUT THE BENEFICIARY: Artists Image Resource (AIR)is a laboratory designed to serve artists, educators, and the community. AIR creates an exciting and dynamic learning environment that fosters experimentation, individuality, and peer mentorship by bringing established and emerging artists together in its print studio and exhibition space on Pittsburgh's Northside. Week 17: Steelers vs. Browns

Artist: Rick Bach

Bio: Rick Bach is an American painter, sculptor and graphic designer. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a graduate from the Pittsburgh Art Institute, his style was influenced by his early days working alongside his father in an auto body shop. His work ranges from architectural to figurative and is usually painted on metal canvases or sculpted from steel. His motivation is to entertain and provoke while pushing the boundaries between conventional and absurd, functional and useless. Bach currently resides in Washington, D.C., and maintains a studio there as well as in Pittsburgh. For more than 20 years, he has been commissioned by the Big Burrito Restaurant Group to create site-specific murals and sculptures for their restaurants throughout the east coast. Bach's work is in private collections around the world, and he has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Artist: Angela Oddling

Bio: Angela Oddling is a self-taught illustrator, comics creator, and traditional artist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her illustrations are created with whimsical colors and designs to bring characters and stories to life. She hopes the art that she creates can help folks from all walks of life find some comfort. Angela spends her free time dancing in the kitchen with her cats Daisy and Luke, telling ghost stories, and diner-hopping on her quest to find the world's best oatmeal. Bio: Shawn Atkins is a cartoonist on webcomics and records podcasts. He is a lover of oatmeal raisin cookies and his dad. Comics are his lifelong passion. From exploring depths of the ocean to the outer reaches of time and space, comics fuel his curiosity about what's out there in the world. When he's not making comics, he's podcasting about comics with his friends on Comic Book Pitt or hanging out with his family, watching movies and cooking. Bio: Abbie Adams is a Pittsburgh-based artist and designer. Adams works with ink and gouache, as well as digital illustration and collage. The simplicity and detail of her imagery define her signature aesthetic and approach, whether working on a mural or a house portrait. Abbie Adams Studio has collaborated with a variety of businesses to create distinctive, locally-themed products and projects. Artist: Nina Zivkovic

Bio: Nina Zivkovic is an art director, designer, and illustrator at a South Side studio called ocreations. She also freelances to musicians, actors, and entertainment professionals. From national sports nutrition companies to local restaurants and staples, Nina has a vase variety of design & illustrator industry experience, citing entertainment as her favorite: "Illustration and design are like being an actor. You study and research and express yourself through a focused lens, to capture the right emotions and theme. With entertainment illustration clients, you get to get super weird and creative, and with graphic design at ocreations you have rules, goals, and structure. Two different types of challenges, both of which I love." She is continually inspired by art nouveau, comic books, and movie posters, and is an avid football and all things geek-nerd fan. Artist: Mike Pfaltzgraff

Bio: My name is Michael Pfaltzgraff. I am a Pittsburgh-based graphic designer. I've been a designer for over 25 years. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I had an interest in bikes at a young age. This had a significant influence on my interest in design. I got an early start designing for the bike industry when I was still in high school. Since then, I've been a designer by trade and have worked with some of the most established outdoor companies in the world. There are over 3 million bikes out in the world with my design work on them. For the last ten years I've been running a small, independent design agency based in Pittsburgh. From The North Face to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, I have worked with a variety of brands on projects that are creatively fulfilling. Notable clients and companies I have worked with include:

Artist: Strawberry Luna

Bio: Starting as a hobby, Strawberryluna is the wife and husband design team of Allison Glancey and Craig Seder. Based in Pittsburgh, they became a creative team in 2005 and quickly went from designing rock posters for bands you 've never heard of (and some of you never will), to designing, illustrating, and creating visuals for some of the largest brands (and bands) in the world. From designs for bands like The National and Belle & Sebastian to working for The TODAY Show to Three Rivers Arts Festival, Strawberryluna loves creating strong, eye-catching designs. Bio: As founder and creative director of Bootstrap Design Co., Bill has been a part of the Pittsburgh creative scene since 2004. Best known for their branding work, Bill and his team - Abbey Hlista and Shelby Kirk - have collaborated with some of Pittsburgh's most recognizable brands, including Burgatory, Shorty's Pins & Pints, La Prima, Leona's, and Driftwood Oven. Artist: Mark Bender

Bio: Mark Bender's illustration is classically inspired and hand-crafted, combining traditional media with contemporary technology to create compelling imagery that connects with the audience. His visual vocabulary pulls from vintage advertising of the 20's and 30's WPA and propaganda posters, giving contemporary concepts a timeless motif. Mark's meticulously crafted images have been incorporated into advertising, editorial and institutional clients including Simon & Shuster, Sony Music, NPR, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Heinz USA, Carnegie Mellon, PITT University, NFL, MLB, East End Brewing and Federated Investors. Recognized by Communication Arts Magazine, 3X3 Magazine, Archive 200 Best Illustrators, Applied Arts Magazine, Creative Quarterly, the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators and the New York Society of Illustrators, Mark has been included in the Society's annual exhibitions and in Original Art, the best in children's book illustration. A member of the AIGA and a founding member of the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators, he has also been awarded both gold and silver Addys, Golden Quill Awards, two PSI Best of Show awards, a gold medal from the Independent Publishers Book Awards, and silver medals from both the New York Society of Illustrators and the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators. Three of Mark's works are in the permanent collection of the Society of Illustrators Museum in New York. Mark has been passing on his illustration knowledge as an educator in Pittsburgh for over 2 decades and is an Associate Professor in Graphic Design at Chatham University.
