Steelers Director of Player Development Darrel Young has been named to the AFC staff for the Pro Bowl Games this year, serving as one of the Heads of Player Engagement along with Marcus Pollard, the Director of Player Engagement and Youth Football for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hall of Famer Peyton Manning is the head coach of the AFC staff, which also includes Cincinnati Bengals receivers coach Troy Walters, who will serve as offensive coordinator, and Tennessee Titans linebackers coach Frank Bush, who will serve as defensive coordinator.
The Steelers have five players scheduled to participate in the Pro Bowl Games this year.
Kicker Chris Boswell, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, defensive tackle Cameron Heyward and linebacker T.J. Watt were voted to the Pro Bowl Games as starters, and special teams ace Miles Killebrew was named as an injury replacement.
The traditional Pro Bowl game has been replaced by the Pro Bowl Games, which will culminate with an AFC vs. NFC Flag Game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, February 2.
