I am enjoying life being dad. I am spending a lot of time with my older son who is in high school. That is my primary focus. I have some business ventures, but after I got done playing football I wanted to focus on being a father and spend time with my kids. I feel like I missed out on quite a few years when I was playing.
What is the fondest memory from your playing career?It would be just being out there competing every week. Pittsburgh is such a football town. The camaraderie with the guys in the locker room was amazing. There were so many memories. It was a childhood dream to play here.
What was your best game?
I had a couple of two interception games, probably the one against the Titans at Three Rivers Stadium. I am part of a trivia question – the last interception at Three Rivers Stadium was by me. That is really cool for me.What made playing for the Steelers special?Pittsburgh is more of a football town than anywhere I have been. Here in Pittsburgh it's a whole other level for the team. The city bleeds black and gold. The sports teams are all black and gold. It's the only city like that.Do you still keep in touch with former teammates?I do. We talk and see what is happening in their lives. I have so many fond memories. It's good. Life is good.
Do you still follow the Steelers and if so, how closely?I do. I still root for the team. I root for the guys.
