The highs and lows of the Steelers regular season Week 1 game at the Cleveland Browns.

1:00 p.m. ET - Kickoff

1:10 p.m. ET - What went right:** The Browns received the opening kickoff and ended up facing a fourth-and-19, largely through the efforts of Stephon Tuitt. On the first play, Tuitt broke into the backfield and created a broken play that ended up being a 1-yard run by DeShone Kizer. On second down, Tuitt dumped Isaiah Crowell for a 9-yard loss. Following a false start penalty, the Browns eventually then lined up in punt formation with a fourth-and-19 from their own 16-yard line.

The Browns lined up to punt, but they never got it off. Tyler Matakevich came up the middle to block the punt into the end zone, and Anthony Chickillo recovered for the touchdown that gave the Steelers a 7-0 lead.

1:17 p.m. ET - What went right: The Browns' second offensive series also ended with a punt, but it did include one third-down conversion. Kizer converted a third-and-11 with a 13-yard pass to tight end David Njoku, but then he was sacked on two of the next three plays. The first was by Anthony Chickillo, and the second was by Cam Heyward.

1:24 p.m. ET - What went wrong:** The Steelers first offensive series was ruined by mistakes, those coming in the form of holding penalties on JuJu Smith-Schuster and then Vance McDonald that sandwiched a dropped pass by Martavis Bryant. The Steelers ended up having to punt because they faced a fourth-and-16 from their own 20-yard line.

1:34 p.m. ET - What went wrong: The Browns tied the game, 7-7, with 22 seconds remaining in the first quarter thanks to a 12-play, 68-yard drive that was capped by DeShone Kizer's 1-yard quarterback sneak. On the drive, the Browns were 3-for-3 on third downs, the last of which was a 21-yard pass interference penalty on Sean Davis that put the ball at the Pittsburgh 3-yard line.

1:37 p.m. ET - End of 1st Quarter: Steelers 7, Browns 7

1:51 p.m. ET - What went wrong: Through the game's first 17 minutes, the Steelers had been flagged for two offensive holding penalties, one pass interference penalty, and one unnecessary roughness penalty.

2:00 p.m. ET - What went wrong: More Steelers' offensive statistics: through the first quarter-and-a-half, the Steelers had two first downs; they were 1-for-4 on third downs; they had 4 yards rushing, and 46 total net yards; and their time of possession was 7:11.

2:12 p.m. ET - What went wrong:** The defense forced the Browns into a three-and-out, but Darrius Heyward-Bey was flagged for holding on the punt return, and so the Steelers offense started at its own 9-yard line with 3:53 remaining in the first half.

2:14 p.m. ET - What went wrong: On first down, Ben Roethlisberger completed a 15-yard pass to Antonio Brown, but the play was nullified by an illegal peel-back block on Le'Veon Bell.

2:17 p.m. ET - What went right: On second-and-8 from the Steelers 11-yard line on the final play before the two-minute warning of the first half, Ben Roethlisberger passed to Antonio Brown down the middle of the field. The ball was tipped by Browns LB Christian Kirksey, but Brown kept his concentration and made the catch. He turned it into a 50-yard gain.

2:23 p.m. ET - What went right:** Deciding to get the ball to Antonio Brown was a good thing. On a seven-play, 91-yard touchdown drive that gave the Steelers a 14-7 lead late in the first half, Antonio Brown accounted for 80 of those yards with catches of 50, 19, and 11 yards. The touchdown came on a 4-yard pass to Jesse James. After the drive, Brown had six catches for 102 yards, which marked his 30th career 100-yard receiving game. That broke a tie with Hines Ward for the most in Steelers history.

2:25 p.m. ET - Halftime: Steelers 14, Browns 7

2:49 p.m. ET - What went wrong: The Steelers offense started the second half the way it started the first – with a three-and-out. This one included a sack by Carl Nassib, and then the Browns responded with a seven-play 53-yard drive that ended with a 24-yard field goal by Zane Gonzalez that cut the Steelers lead to 14-10 with 9:27 left in the third quarter.

2:59 p.m. ET - What went right:** The Steelers answered the Browns third-quarter field goal with a touchdown drive that covered 75 yards in six plays and ended with a 2-yard touchdown pass to Jesse James that became a 21-10 lead following Chris Boswell's extra point. The big gain on the drive was a 41-yard pass interference penalty on CB Jamar Taylor in which the Browns defensive back held Antonio Browns arm down to prevent him from making an effort to catch the ball.

3:12 p.m. ET - What went wrong: On back-to-back plays on the Cleveland possession following Jesse James' third-quarter touchdown catch penalties gave life to the Browns offense. On a third-and-18, Will Gay broke up a pass intended for Ricardo Louis with a hit that was deemed unnecessary roughness, and on the next play Artie Burns was flagged for holding.

3:15 p.m. ET - What went right:** On the play after T.J. Watt was flagged for unnecessary roughness that nullified a sack by Anthony Chickillo, he recorded his first interception on a pass intended for Kasen Williams. Watt went high in the air to intercept the ball at the Steelers 17-yard line, and he returned it 17 yards to the 34-yard line to preserve a 21-10 lead at the end of three quarters.

3:18 p.m. ET - End of 3rd Quarter: Steelers 21, Browns 10

3:25 p.m. ET - What went wrong: The Steelers were in field goal range and looking to extend their 21-10 lead with 12-plus minutes left in the fourth quarter when on a third-and-9 from the Browns 29-yard line, Ben Roethlisberger tried to get the ball to Martavis Bryant over the middle only to have it tipped by Briean Boddy-Calhoun and intercepted by Derrick Kindred.

3:30 p.m. ET - What went right: After Javon Hargrave sacked DeShone Kizer early in the fourth quarter, the Steelers defense had seven sacks. It was the most since the team had eight in Cleveland against the Browns last season.

4:00 p.m. ET - Final Score: Steelers 21, Browns 18
