The early bird often times gets the worm, but for Steelers fans, the early bird has the chance to be even luckier.
All ticketed fans that arrive when the gates open at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21 prior to the Steelers-Raiders game at Heinz Field will have a chance to win either pre-game field passes or a Steelers Sideline Store Gift Card.
Fans will be randomly selected as they enter Heinz Field early at Gates A, B or C.
Lucky fans who won the passes for the Patriots game got an up-close look at their favorite players, taking pictures and enjoying the pre-game warm-ups.
The promotion will run throughout the remainder of the 2010 regular season. Be sure to check back for the arrival time for each game in order to be eligible to win.
Remember – you have to arrive when the gates open to be eligible.
The annual Salvation Army Red Kettle collection will take place this Sunday when the Steelers host the Oakland Raiders at Heinz Field. Volunteers will be stationed at all stadium gates, in the Coca-Cola Great Hall and in the west concourse from 10 a.m. until 15 minutes after kickoff. If you are unable to attend the game but would like to support the work being done by the Salvation Army, you can donate online by clicking Red Kettle Campaign. Please be as generous as possible to help the needy in our area have a happier holiday season.
Steelers fans can lend a hand to those in need this holiday season by donating non-perishable groceries at the fifth annual Max Starks & His Hometown Team Thanksgiving Celebration on Tuesday, November 23 at Waterfront in Homestead Town Square.
Those who bring food donations will be eligible for a raffle ticket for a Steelers autographed football. Those who can't attend can donate to Max's Virtual Food Drive by visiting the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank website at www.pittsburghfoodbank.org.
