The Steelers open the regular season this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium, and they are a relatively healthy group headed into the game.
Bud Dupree didn't practice on Friday with a shoulder injury, and is listed as questionable for the game. Dupree first appeared on the injury report on Thursday, when he was limited in practice.
The Steelers depth at outside linebacker is strong, with Anthony Chickillo, William Gay, and Arthur Moats. T.J. Watt is the starter at right outside linebacker.
"I don't think it's too bad," said Chickillo. "I think (Bud) will be able to play on Sunday. I will be ready if needed. You just have to be ready for the opportunity whenever they call your number. I feel like I always put myself in a position where I am ready."
Jerald Hawkins was limited on Wednesday with a knee injury, and didn't practice the remainder of the week. He has been ruled out for Sunday's game. The Steelers other backup tackle is Chris Hubbard, and guard Matt Feiler can also swing over to the tackle spot.
The Browns also have their issues at linebacker. Myles Garrett, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, suffered a high ankle sprain in practice on Wednesday and according to the Browns he will be re-evaluated after several weeks.
Here is the current injury report for the Steelers' Week 1 game at Cleveland.
