Watt records his 100th career sack

Linebacker T.J. Watt continues to check the boxes, the latest a huge milestone in his career.

With his half sack of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, Watt has reached 100 sacks for his career.

While winning is all that is at the forefront of Watt's mind, he does know that it's special to reach the milestone.

"Not yet. I will. I definitely will probably sometime in the offseason," said Watt. "I'm just so involved in it right now and focused on week-to-week that you don't really have time to even really sit down and enjoy the body of work that I've been able to accomplish.

"I think someday I'll be able to do that, but not right now."

Watt went into today's game with 99.5 sacks, recording one sack in each of the Steelers first three games. With the half sack of Prescott, he reached 100 career sacks, and counting.

Watt became the second fastest player to reach 100 career sacks, doing it in 109 career games. Only Hall of Famer Reggie White did it faster, reaching the 100-sack mark in 96 games. Watt is also one of only three players to reach 100 career sacks before the age of 30.

Doing so in such a short time span is a testament to Watt's consistency, something he prides himself on.

"When you talk about wanting to be successful and one of the greats, it's all about can you do it week in, week out," said Watt. "Can you do it repetitively season over season. That's what I want to do. I want to have a huge body of work that shows constant effort, constant production.

"I'm trying to not get complacent, trying to continue to find ways where I can extract everything that I can out of this game because the sand's ticking through the hourglass and I just want to continue to make plays and have fun.

"This is the best job in the world. I said that from the start. I have so much fun and I'm still finding ways where I can get better and improve."
