Two players signed; three released

The Steelers signed long-snapper Matt Dooleyand defensive tackle Lavon Hooks, it was announced today.

Dooley was a tryout participant for the Steelers' 2015 rookie mini-camp. He played collegiately at Indiana.

Hooks spent the 2015 training camp with the Green Bay Packers before being released on August 31, 2015. He originally signed with the Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 8, 2015.

The Steelers released tight end Rob Blanchflower and offensive tackles Kelvin Palmerand Mitchell Van Dyk.
