Tomlin press conference postponed

Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin's weekly press conference at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex has been postponed until later in the day, the team announced on Tuesday morning.

When the press conference is rescheduled, it will be streamed live on Steelers.com, the Steelers Official Mobile App, as well as the team's Facebook and Twitter channels.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, the National Football League and the NFL Players Association issued the following statement:

"On Tuesday morning, the Titans COVID testing results returned three new player positives and five new personnel positives. The Titans will suspend in-person club activities starting today. Likewise, the Vikings, who played the Titans on Sunday, will also suspend in-person club activities. Both clubs are working closely with the NFL and the NFLPA, including our infectious disease experts, to evaluate close contacts, perform additional testing and monitor developments. All decisions will be made with health and safety as our primary consideration. We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available."

Last Sunday, Sept. 27, the Titans defeated the Vikings, 31-30, in U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The NFL's upcoming weekend has the Steelers scheduled for a 1 p.m. Sunday game against the Titans in Nashville.

Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten released the following statement on Tuesday morning: "We have been in contact with the NFL regarding the positive COVID-19 tests with the Tennessee Titans. We have been informed to proceed with our game preparations for Sunday's game until we are informed otherwise."
