Super Bowl XL Pep Rally at Heinz Field this Friday Salute to AFC Champions as they head to Detroit Brought to you by PNC Bank and Comcast PITTSBURGH - Heinz Field will be the site of a Super Bowl XL Pep Rally this Friday, January 27. Doors open at 3 p.m. with the program beginning at 5. Admission is free. The Povertyneck Hillbillies will perform a free concert at the event, which will feature Steelers president Art Rooney, Pittsburgh Mayor Bob O'Connor, Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato and several Steelers players. KDKA TV''s Bob Pompeani and Ken Rice will serve as emcees along with former Steelers Tunch Ilkin and Craig Wolfley of the Steelers radio network. The second half of KDKA's 6 p.m. news will be broadcast live from the Coca-Cola Great Hall. Steelers flagship radio station WDVE-FM will also be broadcasting live. Parking will be available in Stadium lots and the Carnegie Science Center lot for $5.00 per car. The Gateway Clipper Fleet also will have a boat running from Station Square to Heinz Field beginning at 3:00 until 5:30 and returning after the pep rally. Gates A and B will be open and Heinz Field Security Guidelines WILL be enforced. The lower seating bowl, South Plaza and Coca-Cola Great Hall will all be open.Stadium concessions will be open with a limited menu including beer, soda, water, nachos, hot dogs, soft pretzels, peanuts, popcorn, candy. Official Steelers Merchandise will also be available in the Pittsburgh Sideline Stores.
