SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD:The STEELERS Text to Win Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") will operate starting Wednesday, December 15 , 2010 and ending on Friday, January 14, 2011 (the "Sweepstakes Period").
SPONSOR: This Sweepstakes is sponsored by Pittsburgh Steelers LLC, 100 Art Rooney Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15221.
TO ENTER:The Sweepstakes will be offered to all subscribers who sign up or have signed up to receive Steelers text alerts or fans who choose to enter by mail.There are two ways to enter this Sweepstakes: Join Steelers Text Alerts by texting STEELERS to 76274 or by sending name, address, telephone and email address (optional) to The Pittsburgh Steelers, Attn: K. Wallace, 100 Art Rooney Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15212-5775 All entries must be postmarked by midnight, Friday, January 14, 2011.
Text Message: Steelers text subscribers will be sent a text message "Thx for joining Steelers Text Alerts. U are entrd to win one of 3 autographed footballs. Winners will be notified approx. 1/24/2011. GO STEELERS!!"
All text entrants must have a two-way text messaging capable handset in order to enter the Sweepstakes. Text entrants will be charged their text messaging rate for each text message sent or received through their handset according to the terms in their Wireless Calling Plan. Text messaging and wireless service are not available in all areas.
There is a limit of one entry per person/per mobile telephone number/per home address.ELIGIBILITY:The Sweepstakes is open to subscribers of Steelers Text Alerts and fans who choose to enter by mail. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age. Void where prohibited by law. Employees and directors of either of the Sponsor, PSSI Stadium LLC, and SMaSh ("Administrator"), and each of their respective parent, subsidiary companies, affiliates, divisions, representatives, consultants, sub-contractors, suppliers, distributors, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, and members of their immediate families (defined for these purposes as including spouse, parents, children, and siblings and each of their respective spouses) and individuals living in the same household, are not eligible to participate. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules which are binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. RANDOM DRAWINGS: All drawings will be conducted on behalf of Sponsor by Administrator, an independent marketing agency, whose decisions will be final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Winners will be selected by Administrator in a random drawing of all eligible entries from the pool of text and mailed in entries received before midnight on January 14, 2011. The odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.
PRIZES & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES: Three (3) Grand Prizes – Authentic autographed football, Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") $250 each. Prize consists of only the items specifically listed as the prize. All prize(s) will be awarded "as is". Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value.
*CLAIMING PRIZE: *Winner will be notified by phone that they have won and to verify name, address, and age. The notified eligible winner shall be the only party eligible to claim the prize. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All potential winners are subject to verification of eligibility.
RESTRICTIONS: Winners may make no substitution or transfer of prizes and prizes are not exchangeable for cash.
TAXES: Winner is solely responsible for payment of all federal, state and local taxes with respect to the prizes awarded.
Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor and its agents to use the winner's name and/or likenesses, prize information, photograph, voice or comments for purposes of advertising and trade without further notice, permission, or compensation, unless prohibited by law.
By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and Administrator. By accepting a prize, winners agree to hold Sponsor, PSSI Stadium LLC, Administrator and their respective shareholders, directors, employees, subsidiaries, affiliates and independent contractors ("Released Parties") harmless from and against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused by participation in this Sweepstakes or use or redemption of any prize. All materials submitted become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes will be used in accordance with The Pittsburgh Steelers' Privacy Policy and these Official Rules. In the event of any discrepancy between the Pittsburgh Steelers' Privacy Policy and these Official Rules, the Privacy Policy shall control and govern. Sponsor, affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing, the offering or the announcement of any prize or in the administration of this Sweepstakes. Official Rules will be posted online at www.steelers.com.
ADDITIONAL TERMS: Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, undecipherable, lost, late, damaged, misdirected or faulty text or e-mail messages, mailed in entries, or for any technical problems, incorrect announcements of any kind, hardware or software failures of any kind. Incomplete/illegible entries are void. Sponsor is not responsible for any human or other error that may occur in the processing of the entries, nor is Sponsor responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries, or for technical, network, telephone, computer hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or failures of any wireless or internet service providers, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof, which may limit a person's ability to participate in this Sweepstakes or receive communication from Sponsor.
The prizes will be awarded to the name corresponding to the phone number/entry from which the entry originated. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder submitted at the time of entry in the case of a winner who texted his or her entry and, in the case of a winner who entered via mail, the Sponsor shall require such winner to provide adequate proof of winner's identity at the time the prize is awarded. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to a mobile telephone number (MTN)/email address by a telephone company, wireless service provider, Internet access provider, Internet service provider or other organization (e.g. business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses, telephone numbers or wireless phone numbers for the telephone exchange associated with the submitted telephone number/email address or the domain associated with the submitted telephone, as applicable. Potential winners may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the MTN or contact phone number, mailing address and/or email address associated with the winning entry.
Sponsor assumes no responsibility for undeliverable text messages resulting from filtration of an entrant's wireless or Internet service provider or for insufficient space to receive text or e-mail. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, or modify this Sweepstakes if fraud or technical failures destroy the integrity of this Sweepstakes; or if a technical problem corrupts the administration as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. If this Sweepstakes is canceled, Sponsor will award prizes using all eligible entries received as of the time of cancellation in a random drawing, and Sponsor shall have no further obligation to any participant in connection with this Sweepstakes. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed, or the like methods of participation by an entrant will void all such entries by such methods.
