Steelers Student Rush returns for second season

The Steelers will continue their highly successful Steelers Student Rush program this year, which is a one-of-a-kind program in the NFL.

The Student Rush program will kick off in-stadium when the Steelers host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 22 at Acrisure Stadium.

The program is an opportunity to connect local college students with the hometown team, giving the students an opportunity to see the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in an environment that will be unique from the rest of the stadium.

"Pittsburgh is a college town, with the broader region being home to over 70 colleges and post-secondary institutions and some 140,000 students," said Ryan Huzjak, the Steelers Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Through the Steelers Student Rush program, we have an exciting opportunity to invite college students to venture beyond campus for a world-class football experience. By providing specially created game access through student-priced tickets, we are not only laying the foundation for lifelong fandom but also showcasing the benefits of living in a professional sports town."

In partnership with PogoSeat, the Steelers will provide college students access to Standing Room Only (SRO) tickets conveniently through text messaging. This initiative highlights the franchise's commitment to innovation and inclusivity by providing local college students with unprecedented access to Steelers' football.

The Steelers Student Rush will offer a Standing Room Only (SRO) ticket inventory for each home game, priced at an affordable $50 (no additional fees).

Individuals must be current college students with a valid ".edu" email address to be eligible. College students can also utilize their student ID for free or discounted rides through the PRT U-Pass program for their transportation needs to Acrisure Stadium.

To celebrate the launch of Steelers Student Rush, the team is planning a Kickoff Watch Party at Schenley Plaza in the city's Oakland neighborhood on Sunday, Sept 8 at 11:30 a.m. Students can watch the Steelers take on the Atlanta Falcons on the big screen, while enjoying lawn games, exclusive giveaways, a DJ, and a Steelers legend meet-and-greet. Registration is not required, but students are encouraged to sign up in advance here.
