The Steelers signed six players today to Reserve/Future contracts for the 2013 season.
Pittsburgh signed offensive linemen Joe Long and Justin Cheadle, wide receivers Derek Moye and Bert Reed, and cornerback Isaiah Green to its offseason roster. All five players spent time on the Steelers practice squad in 2012.
Additionally, the Steelers signed Pittsburgh-native Ross Ventrone to their offseason roster. Ventrone, a defensive back, was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Villanova by the New England Patriots in 2010 and spent portions of his rookie season and the 2011 season on both the Patriots active roster and practice squad. He was released by the Patriots during their 2012 training camp and did not spend time on an NFL roster in 2012.
