Steelers Make Roster Move, Sign Madison
* PITTSBURGH –The Steelers announced the addition of veteran *CB Anthony Madison to their active roster. Financial terms of the one-year deal were not released.
Madison (5-9, 180), a fourth-year veteran from Alabama, was originally signed by the Steelers on April 30, 2006, as an undrafted rookie free agent. He played with the Steelers from 2006 to 2008 and spent time on the active roster before being released in 2009 during training camp. Madison was signed earlier this year to the Cleveland Browns in September but was released November 3, 2009. He was also signed by the Indianapolis Colts on November 10, 2009, but was waived on December 1.
He has registered five tackles during his NFL career with the Steelers. Madison has also recorded 46 special team tackles with the Steelers and led the team last year with 25.
The Steelers made room on their active roster for Madison by releasing nine-year veteran CB Corey Ivy. Ivy signed with the Steelers as a free agent this past November.
