Second-Team All-Big Ten selection…recipient of Spartans' most outstanding underclass back award on defense…recorded a career-high 15 pass breakups, tied as the eighth-most in a single-season in school history…finished fifth on the defense with a career-best 72 tackles, including 2.5 for loss… led the Spartans with nine tackles against Central Michigan (Sept. 29), adding an interception…tied for the team-high with eight tackles against Northwestern (Oct. 6)…broke up four passes, a career-high, along with seven tackles vs. Purdue (Oct. 27)…matched a career-high 10 tackles against Ohio State (Nov. 10), adding 1.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack… tallied six tackles and two passes defensed vs. Rutgers (Nov. 24).
2017 SEASON
Earned honorable mention All-Big Ten accolades…recorded 40 tackles in 13 games with nine starts…ranked second on the defense with eight passes defensed…posted five tackles and the first forced fumble of his career against No. 7 Michigan (Oct. 7)…posted a career-best 10 tackles vs. Indiana (Oct. 21)…had two tackles and two pass breakups in win vs. No. 7 Penn State (Nov. 4)…hauled in an interception in the end zone vs. No. 11 Ohio State (Nov. 11), adding three tackles and two passes defensed…amassed five tackles and a career-high three passes defensed vs. Maryland (Nov. 18).
2016 SEASON
Saw action in nine games, one at wide receiver and eight at cornerback, starting five of the last seven contests…totaled 18 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and an interception…made first career start vs. Northwestern (Oct. 15), hauling in an interception and returned it 43 yards for a touchdown…had a season-high four tackles at Maryland (Oct. 22).
HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year starter at Benedictine (Cleveland, Ohio) High School…logged a career-high 46 catches for 790 yards (17.2 average) and 11 touchdowns in 2015, adding three punt returns for touchdowns…set a school single-game record with 12 catches for 187 yards and two touchdowns in a regional final…caught 36 passes for 866 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior…hauled in seven interceptions in 2014…also a four-year letterman in basketball, and track and field.
