The Steelers have re-signed tight end Michael Palmer to a one-year contract, the team announced today. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In his one season with Pittsburgh, Palmer played in all 16 games, registering one reception for eight yards. Palmer originally signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Clemson on April 26, 2010. In three seasons with the Falcons (2010-12), Palmer started 5-of-43 games played during the regular season.

During the 2013 offseason he spent time with the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks before being claimed off of waivers by the Steelers on August 8, 2013.
