The 2019 preseason schedule was released today, and it means one thing. Football season is getting closer by the minute.
The team will open the preseason with back-to-back home games, and then close out the preseason with two games on the road, including a nationally televised game against the Tennessee Titans.
The Steelers kick off the preseason at Heinz Field in a Week 1 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday, Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on KDKA-TV.
They will continue at home in Week 2, hosting the Kansas City Chiefs at Heinz Field on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 7:30 p.m. on KDKA-TV.
The Steelers will be featured in a nationally televised game in Week 3 when they travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans on Sunday, August 25. Kickoff will be at 8 p.m. and the game will be televised on NBC's Sunday Night Football, locally on WPXI-TV.
The team will close out the preseason on the road against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, August 29 at 7:30 p.m. in a Week 4 meeting. This will be the 17th consecutive year the two teams will meet in the final week of the preseason. The Steelers-Panthers game can also be seen on KDKA-TV.
