Steelers' players will have the chance to scare their fans when they take part in a frightening fund-raiser at the Hundred Acres Manor Haunted House in Pittsburgh's South Park on Friday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m.

Players will get in costume and some scary face pain and then join the staff in the haunted house to scare those who are brave enough to enter.

"I love going to haunted houses, but when you get there you don't want to go through it," said kicker Jeff Reed, who organized the event with long snapper Greg Warren. "It's like an adrenaline rush. As soon as you see a dark area you know something bad is going to happen. With the characters on this team it could be funny and scary."

Proceeds from the haunted evening will benefit Animal Friends and the Homeless Children's Education Fund.
