The Steelers will have a new teammate this summer after naming XFinity by Comcast as the title sponsor of the team's 2010 training camp. Steelers 2010 Training Camp presented by XFinity will kick off on Friday, July 30 when all players are scheduled to report to Saint Vincent College. (Training Camp Schedule)
The Steelers will wear XFinity patches on their practice jerseys throughout the 2010 season. XFinity's logo will be visible throughout the team's training camp on the fencing around the practice field and on wall pads along the hillside at Saint Vincent.
"Wearing the XFinity logo on our practice jerseys is just one illustration of the strength of their business partnership with the Steelers," said Steelers President Art Rooney II. "We look forward to having XFinity by Comcast as a partner during this year's training camp."
XFinity will be the title sponsor of all three Steelers preseason games broadcast locally on KDKA-TV as well as all Clear Channel training camp radio broadcasts from Latrobe throughout the summer. XFinity will also sponsor the Steelers' annual night practice and fireworks display at Latrobe's Memorial Stadium on Friday, Aug. 6.
In addition to on-site exposure during Steelers training camp, XFinity will be the co-branded presenting sponsor of Steelers Training Camp on Steelers.com.
This summer will be the Steelers' 45th training camp at Saint Vincent College.
The first official practice will take place Saturday, July 31, at 9 a.m., with the first practice open to the public scheduled for that afternoon at 2:55 p.m. Generally, morning practices will begin at 9 or 10 a.m. and afternoon sessions will start at 2:55 p.m. Only the afternoon practices are open to the public.
The Steelers open their preseason schedule at Heinz Field on Saturday, Aug. 14, at 7:30 p.m. against the Detroit Lions. The game will air locally on KDKA-TV (Ch. 2). Heinz Field will also be the site of Pittsburgh's preseason finale on Thursday, Sept. 2, at 7:30 p.m. versus the Carolina Panthers.
During the Steelers night practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium on Friday, August 6, the Westmoreland County Food Bank will collect non-perishable food and household items. Giant Eagle will match the donation on a per-round basis. Fans unable to attend the practice can still participate through the virtual food drive by visiting www.westmorelandfoodbank.org.

From Erie, Buffalo and points north: Take Interstate 79 south to its junction with I-76, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, at gate 28 (old gate 3) Cranberry/Perry Highway Take I-76 east to exit 67 (old exit 7) Irwin. Turn right onto U.S. Route 30 East and follow for approximately 17 miles. Turn left on to Beatty County Road. Follow Beatty County Road to Brouwers Drive. Turn Right on Brouwers Drive and follow the road to on-campus parking lots.
