Steelers Make Transactions

In order to add depth to the defensive back position, the Steelers announced today the signing of DB Kevin Dockery and DB Macho Harris.

Dockery, a six-year veteran, comes to the Steelers after spending four years with the New York Giants (2006-2009) and one year with the St. Louis Rams (2010). Dockery has played in 61 games with 11 starts. He has four career interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Harris, a third-year player, comes to the Steelers after spending one season with the Philadelphia Eagles (2009) and one with the Washington Redskins (2010).

To make room on the roster, the Steelers released and placed veteran WR Limas Sweed on the Waived/Injured List and waived TE Eugene Bright from their PUP List.
