The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to trade linebacker Adrian Robinsonto the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for running back Felix Jones, the team announced today.
Jones (5-10, 215) was originally selected out of the University of Arkansas in the first round (22nd overall pick) of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to joining the Eagles this past offseason, Jones spent five seasons with Dallas, starting 23-of-64 games played during the regular season. For his career, Jones registered 2,728 rushing yards on 569 attempts (4.6 avg.) with 11 touchdowns and 1,062 receiving yards on 127 receptions (8.4 avg.) and three touchdowns. He also returned 64 kicks for 1,534 yards (24.0 avg.) and one touchdown. Since 2008, Jones is the only player in the NFL to post a 60 yard touchdown run, a 70 yard touchdown reception and a 90 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Robinson is in his second season in the NFL after signing with Pittsburgh as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Temple University in 2012. He appeared on special teams in 12 games as rookie last season.
