As part of the NFL's "Back to Football" initiative, the Steelers have planned a number of events leading up to the team's 2014 season opener on Sunday, September 7, versus the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field.
The Steelers are encouraging fans to show their support of the Black and Gold at "Back to Football" events:
Wednesday, September 3
- Steelers.com Live from Dick's Sporting Goods (7 p.m., Robinson Town Centre)
- Be a part of the live audience as host Missi Matthews and former Steeler Chris Hoke bring you the latest Steelers news to get you ready for Sunday's contest.
- All fans will receive a 2014 "Back to Football" poster schedule (while supplies last).
Friday, September 5
- Wear your Black & Gold to work and school
- Market Square, Downtown
- "Tunch and Wolf" (970 ESPN Radio) live broadcast from 10 a.m. – Noon.
- Steelers Pep Rally(Noon)
* Appearances by Steelers President **Art Rooney II**, Pittsburgh Mayor **Bill Peduto** and Allegheny County Executive **Rich Fitzgerald**.
* The **Pittsburgh Steeline Drumline** and **Steely McBeam**will also be present.
* All fans will receive a 2014 "Back to Football" poster schedule (while supplies last).
* Stan Savran (970 ESPN Radio) live broadcast from Noon – 2 p.m.
- "Back to Football" kickoff concert at Stage AE
- Doors open at 5 p.m. and admission is free.
- Bill Crawford from the WDVE Morning Show will MC the event. Fans will have chances to win prizes and giveaways, including tickets to Sunday's home opener.
- Defensive end Cameron Heywardwill be on hand to greet fans at 6 p.m.
- Steelers.com Live with Missi Matthews, Bob Labriola and Mike Prisuta starts at 7 p.m.
- Rusted Rootand The Wailerswill start the show at 8 p.m.
- Event ends at 11 p.m.
