First-year running backs coach James Saxon has some thoroughbreds to work with at the position, including second-year back Le'Veon Bell and offseason free agent addition LeGarrette Blount.
Saxon is enjoying working with the group already, and looking forward to what is still to come from them.

On the group of running backs:**
"They are a good group, working very hard and I am excited to see them work during this minicamp."
- On Bell and what he brings to the offense:
"He is very smart. He is a very talented football player. I think his upside is very, very high."
- On how Bell and Blount are working together:
"I think it's going to be fun to watch. I think those two guys work well together. They are going to compete and challenge each other to be very, very good football players for the Steelers."
- On how well the offensive coaching staff is gelling this offseason:
"We understand what we are asked to do. Coach (Mike) Tomlin made it clear he wants this football team to be in position to win football games. As a staff I think we are responding that way. I think the guys in the room understand the task at hand."
