BEN ROETHLISBERGERQuarterback**To be frank, Ben Roethlisberger deserved better.
When you play the quarterback position the way he played it on Sunday in Oakland, when you play the quarterback position the way Roethlisberger did in a league where quarterback play is so very important to the outcomes of games, the outcome should not have been what it ended up being.
Roethlisberger completed 36-of-49 passes for 384 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. That was good for a passer rating of 123.2, but the Steelers still lost to the Raiders, 34-31, on a 44-yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski as time expired.
Roethlisberger is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.
Also considered were Heath Miller, who caught eight passes for 60 yards and two touchdowns that give him four already on the season; and Mike Wallace, who caught eight passes for 123 yards and one touchdown.
