With Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh
During 16th Annual Rebuilding Day This Saturday
WHAT: The Pittsburgh Steelers and 84 Lumberare joining together to help renovate a house as a part of Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh, the largest one-day free home repair project in western Pennsylvania.

Former Steelers great Dwight White will be volunteering at 10:30 a.m. along with staff from the Steelers, 84 Lumber and Wyatt. The homeowner is Sharon Wolkiewicz.
This house is one of 30 homes owned by low-income elderly and disabled citizens in Allegheny County that will be renovated on Saturday, April 26. One thousand volunteers will complete more than $500,000 worth of free renovations during this special community wide event. Corporations, Pittsburgh Building Trades, Occupational Therapists, construction companies, utility companies, civic groups, schools and foundations are providing financial support and skilled labor for this one-day event that will provide free repairs and renovations, while also addressing home safety issues and "aging in place".
There is a "Quiet Crisis in Housing" in Allegheny County. Many low-income elderly homeowners are living in deteriorating and unsafe housing. Pittsburgh ranks seventh in the nation with the oldest housing stock. Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh is the leading volunteer home rehab team in Western Pennsylvania where neighbor helps neighbor by revitalizing homes, communities and lives.
