Honoring a hero: The US Steel Salute to Heroes this week is United States Marine Corps Sergeant Major Lavaughn Peterson. Peterson is a Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal recipient who did two tours of duty in Iraq. The Pittsburgh Native is also a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper.
