Mewelde Moore was a do-it-all running back for the Steelers last year, coming in on third down, catching passes out of the backfield, and filling in as a starter when injuries hit.
For him, it was just a matter of doing what was asked of him when he signed with the team as a free agent.
"I was asked to come here and do a job, and we covered every aspect of what I did," said Moore. "I trained that way and I train that way now. Those were the things we talked about doing and I was prepared. I was happy to help the team out."
Moore also was a part of the return game on a limited basis and wouldn't mind increasing that work load this year.
"I anticipate being a factor period," said Moore. "That is just my deal. I don't focus on just one thing. I do everything and I am asked to do a lot of things. I have to have all of my tools sharpened at all times. I can't focus on one thing. I have to be a factor and be ready to go on a moments notice and be ready to go where asked."

Former first-round draft choice Lawrence Timmons has a new role this offseason, starting inside linebacker.
Timmons has taken over the position formerly held by Larry Foote, who was released during the team's OTA's and has since signed with the Detroit Lions.

Timmons, who played in a back-up role and was the nickel linebacker, is using the OTA's to make sure that he is ready when training camp kicks off later in the summer.
"I am just trying to get better every day," said Timmons. "I am listening to my coaches and trying to help out the team as much as possible.
"This is practice. We are just out here trying to get better. I am studying in the film room. I am trying to improve as much as possible and get as good as I can be."
While he hasn't been practicing during OTA's and admits they are more valuable for the younger players, Hines Ward is still getting something out of the practices.
"I am over there talking to Coach (Dick) LeBeau, asking him the coverages and understanding my role and seeing myself run a route against the coverage," said Ward. "I am picking his brain about situational football. I am playing the game within the game. It's about having a better understanding. It's more mental work than physical."
